G. Laithan Simmerman

Laithan was born in Mobile, Alabama. He received a degree in Political Science from Mississippi State University, and received his Juris Doctorate from Mississippi College, where he was elected Student Body President, and served on the Moot Court Board.

He has been practicing law on the Mississippi Gulf Coast since 2020. Outside of the office, he has been active in the Mississippi and local Bar Associations. He served as the President of the Harrison County Young Lawyers and the Treasurer of the Harrison County Bar Association, and currently serves as the Vice President of the Harrison County Bar Association. He has served on multiple committees for the Mississippi Bar, and completed the Leadership Mississippi Bar Program as a graduate of the 2024 Class. He was elected by his peers to serve a two-year term as a Coastal Representative to the Young Lawyers Division of the Mississippi Bar.

He is involved in the business community as well. He was chosen to sit on the Board of Directors for the Coast Young Professionals, and serves as its Policy & Government Committee Chair. He was a 2024 American Cancer Society Shuck Cancer Honoree, and was selected in 2025 as one of the Top 10 Under 40 by the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce. He is licensed to practice law in Mississippi and Alabama.

He primarily focuses his practice on commercial litigation and government relations, bringing valuable experience to clients across a wide range of industries.
