Seth Dickinson
Seth is a proud seventh-generation Mississippi, originally from Mantachie. Seth received his undergraduate degree in Public Policy Leadership from the University of Mississippi’s Trent Lott Leadership Institute and the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College. Seth attended the University of Mississippi School of Law, where he was elected to serve as President of the Law School Student Body and received the Jeep Peden Award for Mississippi Law, as well as the Rick Courtney Elder Law award.
Seth served as a Judicial Law Clerk to Justice Josiah D. Coleman for two years before becoming a Special Assistant Attorney General for the Office of Mississippi’s Attorney General, serving in the State Agencies Division’s Business and Finance, Health and Well Being, and Boards and Commissions groups.
Seth is involved in state and local civic and political organizations. He serves on the Board of Directors and as Membership Chairman of the Jackson Rotary Club, and also serves on the Board of the Central Mississippi Ole Miss Rebel Club as Community Engagement Director and as Secretary of the Hinds County Republican Club. Seth is an active member of the Mississippi Historical Society and the Mississippi Association of County Board Attorneys. Seth frequently speaks to state and national organizations on topics such as civic engagement, historic representation, disability advocacy, and his journey as a stroke survivor and overcoming disabilities. Seth and his wife, Sarah, live in Northeast Jackson with their dogs, Rusty and Rowan, and are active members of their church, Christ United.
